5.0 out of 5 stars Great, perfect-fitting jeans for my hard-to-fit son
My 21 yo son has a slender, athletic build but is nearly 6’4″ — a combination that can be hard to fit for jeans or other pants. Many of the manufacturers of longer length jeans begin their waist sizes at 32-34W or larger. Fortunately, though, some styles of Lucky Brand jeans can be bought in the longer (34″) length with a waist size as small as 29 inches (29W). That’s why Lucky Brand has been one of the few jeans options for him over the past few years. I’ve lost count of how many dozens of these jeans we’ve bought over that time. He’s now up to a 31″ waist so fitting him for long jeans is less difficult — but he still really likes these from Lucky Brand.
While he has several varieties of the longer length Lucky Brand styles, these 221 Original Straight Leg Jeans are his favorites. They’re a fairly dark wash (“Barite” – whatever the heck that is) with minimal wear patterns and no pre-fab holes/rips. They’re well made, last a long time, and launder well. As with most of the Lucky Brand jeans, they have the attractive shamrock lining of inner deep pockets.
Up until this past year, I’d been buying all of his Lucky Brand jeans and shirts directly from the Lucky Brand site. I wish I’d learned this earlier, but I’ve actually found a much better selection of styles, colors, and sizes on Amazon. That seems totally odd to me that the Lucky Brand folks keep less of a selection on their site, but perhaps most of their sales are now through Amazon.
I’ve noticed that the price can vary significantly for these jeans. I’ve paid $129 on the Lucky Brand site, $75 two months ago on Amazon, and $100 last week on Amazon (really wish I’d snapped up more of them while they were $75).

5.0 out of 5 stars Lucky Jeans
Lucky makes jeans the way Levi does but with a little stretchy added. Good fit. Quality jeans.

4.0 out of 5 stars OK Jeans
These jeans are fine, nothing special. They are a little looser fit in the legs than most ‘straight’ jeans I have bought, but still OK. I ordered size 36 X 34 in color “Barite”. Probably needed 35 X 34, but no waist 35 available.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice pant and durability
This is a nice pant with durability and stretches a little too much then I was looking for. I had an earlier version that was a little more like a jeans I probably should go a size down because of the comfort, stretch element
